Back pain is something which every one of us goes through at some stage of life. But we tend to find a lot of our patients panic and they think something serious might have happened. We are not talking here about a back pain after a trauma or of any other reason such as infection, tumor etc.
You have to understand that there is a normal
aging process which every one of us goes through. Are you worried or tensed regarding your wrinkles when you turn 40 or when your hair turns grey as soon as you hit your 30’s. Likewise your back and neck (spine) also ages. Most commonly the back pain or neck pain we go through is due to degeneration/ in easy words aging of your spine. You will have sudden attacks with pain free episodes in between. Please don’t panic – just visit your doc, get some physio and medications and you will be sorted. Said so, please don’t ignore your back pain – please visit a specialist because he can guide you after examining that whether this is due to aging or any other cause and if required he will advise further imaging to rule out less common pathologies. Please lead an active life, go for runs everyday, do regular exercises – this will keep your muscles healthy. The trunk and core muscles envelop your back which protects it and these lifestyle modifications are of utmost importance for your spine health.
